First Internal Audit for 2010 conducted by Automak Internal Auditors…
6/13/2010
ISO certified companies conduct Internal Audits at regular planned intervals to determine whether the Quality Management System (QMS) of the company conforms to the planned arrangements and requirements of ISO 9001:2008 established by the company and that they are effectively implemented and maintained.
An audit program is planned, taking into consideration the status and importance of the processes and areas to be audited, as well as the results of previous audits. The audit criteria, scope, frequency and methods are defined. The selection of Internal Auditors and manner of audits ensure objectivity and impartiality of the audit process making certain that Internal Auditors do not audit their own work. The responsibilities and requirements for planning and conducting audits, and for reporting results and maintaining records are defined and maintained. The management responsible for the area being audited ensures that any necessary correction and corrective actions are taken without undue delay to eliminate detected nonconformities and their causes. Follow-up activities include the verification of the actions taken and the reporting of verification results.
Automak has been ISO certified since 2005 and currently has 14 Internal Auditors. During June 2010, the first Internal Audit for 2010 was conducted by Automak Internal Auditors to help steadily and progressively build a more firmer and stronger QMS in the company.
Once the Internal Audits are completed, Automak would be conducting the Management Review for the same as per the requirements of ISO 9001:2008; to guarantee Automak’s continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the QMS.
